Lord Vishnu relaxing in Kshira Sagar, the milky ocean could be one of the most grandiose imagery in Hindu mythology. Considered the lord of the universe (Srishtikarta in Sanskrit), this sculpture evidently showcases his serenity and how he manages to tame his creation. Lying on a bed of cobras whose poison has turned nectar, Lord Brahma springing from his navel seated on a lotus, Vishnu’s divine consort Goddess Lakshmi attending to him-- all complete the leisure that god of his stature enjoy. But in mythology, this imagery has many meanings. One being that the ocean stands for bliss, the serpent for time, diversity, desire and illusion, and the goddess Lakshmi for the material things and powers of the creation.
We have written a blog about this sculpture. Do give it a read!
Suggested Placement: The main entrance or the corner of your living room or in your courtyard.
Note: With respect to size, the statue can be custom made -- hand sculpted over a specific time frame.

Santana or Narayana is the Vedic Supreme God. He is also known as Vishnu and Hari and is venerated as Purushottama or Supreme Purusha in Hindu sacred texts such as the Bhagava Gita the Vedas and the Puranas. Narayana is the name of God in his infinite all-pervading form. The Puranas present a seemingly divergent, but accurate description of Narayana (as an Enlightened Supreme Being). The fifth verse of the Narayana Sukta, a hymn in Yajurveda, states that Narayana pervades whatever is seen or heard in this universe from inside and outside alike. Another important translation of Narayana is The One who rests on Water. This brass sculpture depicts Narayana along with his better half Goddess Laxmi and his mount Garuda.

Creation without sound at the centre of it is considered impossible. In Hinduism, the sacred syllable Om embodies the essence of the universe - it is the "hum" of the atoms and the music of the spheres - and sound in general represents the primal energy that holds the material world together. Shiva, the supreme lord is considered as the creator of the sound and the music (Sangita). Hence the highest musical experience is Ananda, the divine bliss.
